Start off doing voluntery work... say for half a year and just live of the state to get by in that time.

This will b something to put on your CV and will help a lot!!

Plus start studying again, apprentiships are the best becos you get paid at the same time!!

Building sites or Painting and decorating places might take you on and train you up! And dont try Big places start with low key shops like a bar or pub erm But the 1 im thinking of defo is building or mechanic places would most probably take u

Just make sure you tell the truth and that you are 100% dedicated to that postion, and if they are a bit uneven with you just ask for like a months trail and see how you get on

Much love & Goood Luck x

It's tough buddy, especially if you're still on parole. You've got to come on like a p*ssycat, like you really are a good guy that just made a mistake and deserves a break (no, I didn't say act like a p*ssy) Be respectful, and realize, that you've got to prove yourself. Take what you can get even if you don't like the job, and work your way up and out from there, eventually, people will see you as you and not as an untrustworthy ex-con.
I went through the same thing many years ago. People need to understand that you've paid for your transgressions and are no longer that person.
Realize too, that the economy is really sucking right now, so the guy without a record has that much more of an advantage in getting the good jobs. You've got your work cut out for you.
