My daughter just left a job at Career Link (that is a state agency in PA that helps pennsylvanians find jobs.) She said that most states have similar programs (career one-stops), however most may not have things set up specifically for ex-felons, so he will have to see what might apply to him.
There are jobs available. Especially blue collar. It's going to be harder for ex-felons to get a job, because at the very least it has been 'proven' that they have - at the very least - bad judgement in choosing what to do or who to hang with.
I know that that sounds harsh, and I don't mean to be. I wish your son the best. Good Luck !!
