Convert windows movie maker format to windows media player format

How do you convert a file that is saved in Windows Movie Maker to a Windows Media Player format??? It won't play in Windows Media Player because of it's format that's saved under Windows Movie Maker.

When you click on videos and open the video it should automatically play in Windows Media Player.I don't know much about computers.Somebody who knows more can correct me I know people on here are good at that.
That's what happen with me anyway it just automatically plays
