How can I convince my parents to get me contacts?

you see im not the prettiest chic in the world but everyone says I look weay better with out my glasses I really want to get contacts so ill look cuteier but my parents wont let me get them and their all like 'no you dont need them because you only want them because everyone else isnt wearin them! so unless you can come up with a better excuse than 'well all of my friends got them' we're no letting you get them!!' so can anyone help me come up with some excuses to get contacts...
...please dont say I should say im made fun of because they know people dont make fun of me for having glasses.

tell them it will teach you responsibility, by taking care of you'r eye's you are preparing for when you will need to take care of you health. worked for my BFF

Here are some ideas:

Contact lenses offer better vision than with eyeglasses — no loss of peripheral (side) vision, and no visual distortion from thick eyeglass lenses.

Contact lenses make it easier to play sports — no glasses slipping down your nose.

Contact lenses won't put uncomfortable weight or telltale eyeglass marks on your nose.

You won't have to worry about losing or breaking your glasses again.

Tell your parents that you're a big girl now and that you should be able to make your own choices.

Or you can do what everyone else does and get it without your parent's permission.

I wear glasses! and I want to experience different eye colors! I have the exact same problem! it's hard convincing yr parents nowadays, especially when needing to buy CONTACT LENSES. my friends wear them and I really want them too.

hmm, I tried this once. my cousin wears contact lenses.
she said, her grandma's place sell cheaper contact lenses.
if you don't mind using up yr pocket money, try spending them to buy the contact lenses! and ask yr friend to lend a hand in buying them.
and and and make yr friend(someone really close, someone yr mum knows well) to drop over yr house and 'surprise' you with the contact lenses. do this in front of yr mom or dad.

for example.

*the doorbell rings

you : isk, isk, isk. who could that be?

*you open the door.

your mum : who is that?

you : oh mom, how could you not knowww? it's lisa!

your mom : oh lisa! come on in!

lisa : hey, I have a present for you and yr brother as well as yr mum.
(please try to make yr friend have more presents than just for you, that way yr mom will not notice your game)

you : oh lisa! you should'nt have..

yr mom : how sweet of you. thanks lisa.

lisa : no biggie. I know how much you want that sweater, and of course I know how much redhotchick wants her contact lenses..

OR

use reverse physcology.

though none of this suggestions seems to be working for me! because my cousin haven't been going to her grandma's.

Ok, I had the same problem FOREVER. Parents can be such a pain! How I ended up getting them was actually starting with a part-time thing. I snowboard and really needed contacts for snowboarding because the goggles dont fit over glasses. So my parents got me contacts for JUST snowboarding. Once you crack them a little, its easy for the rest. After that I came up with more and more reason why I needed to wear them. Like gym class at school, swimming, things like that, slowly they let me wear them more and more until now, when I wear them all the time!

say it increases my self esteem
they are much eaiser to wear than glasses
glasses get all fogged up
and when im playing sports or pe
they fall of
and they can get broken by a basketball
someone in my pe class got hit with a basketball and the glass went in its eye
