I got contacts because I play sports, and I never had a problem with them. They are definately easier than worrying about glasses all the time. They get a bit uncomfortable when they are old or dry, but the solution fixes that.
My friend has them though and they bother her a lot... so I guess it depends on the person and how sensitive their eyes are.
for me I found them a - okay... ahahaha... I tried out my friend's, to see if they were comfy or not... before I went to get a pair of my own!!... maybe you'd like to try that too!! if you're a clean person.. then I say getting contacts would be fine for you... cause you really do need to clean your hands, rub them with solution and be really careful not to tear them (soft lenses)... If you're not the clean and patient type... then trust me... you'll be getting a lot of eye irratations!! :P but with lubicating eye drops... you should be fine!! I reccomend getting ACUVUE =] they're really comfy, and don't get dry as easily as other brands of contacts!! but like you've said... you don't know until you've tried!! ohhh... one last tip, get the 2 week disposable kind... don't get monthly nor yearly ones... cause I've learned that they thin out the more you wear them... or something like that :P ahahaha... ask your optomitrist!!
hope I've helped =)
I have first hand experience with contact lenses, they are good replacement for glasses. Its just that you have to wash your hands before touching them and be careful while cleaning them.Go for them.
ahhh! I love them! it takes awhile to get use to putting them in and taking them out.. soo give it a week!
and if you sleep in them, just wet your eyes with contact solution in the morning, dont take them out right away! bc it could tear your eyeball. trust me haha
but its superr easy! just get use to them.. and they are simple!!
hopefully I helped!! good luck!

LOVE THEM! They are amazing, my vision is so much better with them, they dont fog up like glasses and they arent affected by the weather! I've had them for about eight years now!
I didnt find that they hurt at all, it was just a bit strange. It wasnt hard to learn to put them in and take them out either.
Lasik sounds great but its best to wait til your eyes have stopped changing at a fast pace. My optomitrist said he wouldnt recommend it for me until im 25 because of the rate at which my eyesight is changing.

Contact lenses, do you like them and do they hurt?
So...I'm going to start college soon (yay!) and I'm tired of wearing glasses all the time. Plus I want to shop for sunglasses with my sister before we leave. We're twins and separating and she loves sunglasses and I like them too I just can't wear them...
because of my glasses. Anyways...I'm thinking about getting contact lenses. My mom says that I won't like them, but how would she know unless I tried them? Do you agree? Oh...my question: if you're someone that wears or have worn contacts, do you like them? Do they hurt? I really want them, but my mom thinks that I won't like them.
Thanks! ♥
