I state these at the risk of calling attention to my own errors, and with admission of confusing those listed on subsequent occasions. I would never correct an acquaintance though, not only in fear of reprisal, but because it would be a backhanded method of dismissing their sentiment. I would and do correct confidantes, and appreciate when I am corrected by them, in the effort to spare the embarassment of it being noted by an antagonist deficient in tact.
True, there are some dyslexics and there are also people for whom English is a second, third, fourth (you get the picture) language. But amongst those of us who have no excuse, my personal crime is 'definately' - I always seem to type it, and sometimes I don't correct it. Mea culpa.
'Pedanticitis' - like it.

What spelling errors drive you crazy?
What have you noted on this site that you feel needs a mention?
I don't mean simple typing errors either like "teh" for "the" and I am not thinking of the difference between UK and US spelling but words which...
we both should know... like the following...
Definitely... not definately or defenitely.
Our... not "are" when you really mean "our" as in "ours - belonging to us"
Voila !... not Walla ! (Voila is an emphatic french expression - go look it up )
Labia... not labea ( If you don't know what that is you can look that up too - you won't be disappointed ! )
OK.. .your turn now...
