I am dating this guy, who I love and loves me. We have been dating for over a year. Ok now here is where it gets kinda twisted. There is this other guy, who is 4 years older than me, and I thought we were just friends, but one night he was texting me and...

he told me that he liked me. What I don't get is 1. He told me he didn't want to be the reason me and my boyfriend broke up. 2. He said he would wait for me. Well right then and there I started saying stuff about myself to make him not like me like that I get real clingy, and he said oh well I like that. So I then said, yeah but if there is a chance I can hang out with the person I am dating and I don't get to I get pissed, and he said Yeah I agree. So I just like gave up on that. Then now everytime he texts me and goes to say goodnight he will be like "text me tomorrow. Goodnight babe." like what is that! especially since he is not even single now.

So what I am asking is...
What can I do to still be friends with him, but not have him like me?

There are people who come into our lives for a short period of time...some for longer. This is a guy should be a short period of time. You need to stop taking texts from him and stop all communications with him. He stated he didn't want to be the one to break you up...He is right, he's doing every thing he can so you end up doing the breaking up. You must see the signs here and stop communicating with him. What are you willing to loose? Him as a friend or your boyfriend? As a woman you will probably have this happen to you over and over so learn to handle it...make a decision keep your boyfriend or dump him every time some one is flirting with you.
