What am i supposed to do when a guy friend likes me?

ok this guy who is 1 of my best friends and has been 4 ever...well I no he likes me and I never liked him...at least I didn't think I would but I can't get him off my mind like every time I start 2 think about something then I always end up thinking...

about him but my problem is I've always thought of him as another brother not a boyfriend but im starting 2 like him like a boyfriend...kinda but he's not really my type of guy he's like really smart and trys 2 show off and stuff and far from being sporty and my type of guy is sporty and not really smart and shaggy hair...ect. what am I supposed 2 do I can't like him because that would change everything and well its just complecated all im asking really is what am I suppose 2 do??? im so confused!!! (if this doesn't really make sense...sorry) any advice well be great!!! THANKS!!!

Ell: The guys that you like are never really like what you expected them to be. I thought I would like someone a little more similar to me. Then I fell for a guy who I was really close friends with but had nothing in common with. Me and Brian both like to read, and we are both getting english majors. Those are the only things we have in common, really. But if I was with someone like me I would probably kill myself. When you are with someone who is not like, you compliment eachother's flaws. So if he is not good at sports that does not matter because you are. If you are not an intellectual he can do all the research and then tell you things when you need to know. He's just unexpected.

I think you should try going out with him for like a week and see how you like it. you might be surprised. before you go out with him I would tell him upfront that you are just trying it out to see how it goes because your not sure what you want. I would also tell him that if it doesn't work out you would like things to go back to the way they were.

well my advice would be to try it. it is normal for best friends to like each other sooner or later. who knows maybe itll work out. it doesnt matter if he is your type or not, your type should be who you like not your exact choice. my friend has been best friends with this boy forever and liked him forever and he liked her too but they thought it would be weird if they went out but I told her to try it and they are now going out and its working out great. hope I helped ~kaitlyn~

Best friends always make for great relationships and even if it doesn't work out they usually turn into better friends because that tension of a emotional relationship isn't there anymore.

well they are your friend. let them like you, act normal, like you always would. be urself around them. dont treat them any differant. but if you have feeling for him as well, go for it. let him know.dont waste a beautiful rlationship because it might be weird!! if it doesnt work out then just talk it over with him. I relaly dont see what the big deal is.
