Hey im non demoniational and im not trying to make waves. But just remeber GOD LOVES YOU!!! it doesnt matter if you are confirmed or not if you have accepted juesus christ as your lord and savior you dont need to be confirmed. but if you really want to be confirmed. just keep on going, its how you view religion. but my view is its more of a relationship than a releigion.
"Reject religion. Embrace Jesus" is what i live by
You should be scared if the kids dont like you being comfirmed is being closer and 1 with the church. Knowing that no matter what God is there for you to help you make decisions and choices through out your life.
Hey!! i have the same problem....i am also catholic but the point is being confirmed in the faith. what matters is god and the church. look at it this way in five years you wont remember the class or the nasty kids......but you will remember being confirmed......that lasts your whole life.
Dear Horses and Jesus7,
The point of confirmation is the faith, and your commitment to it, and even more God's commitment to you, and the confirmation of what he began in you at baptism. Unfortunately, for better or worse, it also means that we have to put up with other sinners in the Church. (Sigh.) If only our faith was just me and God, it would be so much easier, wouldn't it? Not really. It only is better as long as I am strong. When I am weak, though, I need the Church.
If you really fear to go or to study with them, would it be better to wait a year? If you can stand them, and it may help to get the aid of the catechist, just put up with them, accept them as God's gift to you, a difficult gift true, but part of the hardships that help discipline us in the faith. And pray. Pray for them, pray for God's help in preparing for your confirmation.
