twist it so skin doesn't grow over belly button ring?

i just got my belly button done and i was wondering if u have to twist it so skin doesn't grow over it? i tried to but it hurts so i dont want to do it unless i have to.

Unless belly button rings work very differently than ear rings, you don't have to twist it. I got an ear ring ~11 years ago, and from what I remember, you have to make sure to keep it clean, and leave it alone while the skin heals itself and creates a bit of a scar. Then, after it's healed, you'll want to twist it sometimes to make sure crust, gunk, and things don't form around the metal.

Perhaps somebody with experience with belly button rings can help more, but I think that'll do it. Hope it heals well.

Hey,good question!! I have mine done 2 and u do have to twist it!! Sorry i know it hurts!! But when u twist it more often it will gradually stop hurting so much!!

Well if its a ring.. then yes, unforunitly yyou have to turn it. I hurts but its worth it in the end. You dont want to have any problems/ I have mine done too. Once it have healed then just keep it clean and it should be fine.

no do not twist it , that will tear it, just move it up and down.
