I personally associate white with weddings, but I don't know much about fashion.

I've wore a write dress to a funeral before, and I wore black heels and like a long showl draped round my sholders, I know blacks for funerals but I think the person thats died wouldnt want it to be all dak and dismal, I want nobody in black at my funeral!
just wear a black jacket or cardie or shawl with your dress

But wear it with no heels(So it doesn0t look like you are going to a party), and black accesories, black shall or jacket, and it has to be VERY discrete.

Rule of thumb: If you can wear it to church you can wear it to a funeral.

I don't think it's appropriate for a funeral.

funerals are to say good bye to someone you loved. im sure they would have liked the dress and I dont see the big deal with having to wear black. you aarae all going there for the same reason to morn a loss. it doesnt matter what you have on your back, sounds nice..

well it probably is a good a
idea cause white stands for honesty, purity, and etc.
but black is the color because it symboleses death ,so a black dress with a white flower, a white rose. I think so. Hope its help full

whatever you wear, make sure it's conservative and respectful. (ie, no red, no plunging neck lines or short hems...you get the idea). you can wear color, but do it tastefully and respectfully.

and odal, I think you're right about the white thing. you'd look more like a bride than a funeral goer. (although, if you weren't the bride, you would NEVER wear white to a wedding. do not upstage the bride! ha ha).
