I used to have a boyfriend like that

you have to talk him about it and let him know how you feel

in my case it got to the stage where he wudnt even let me leave my house unless he came to my place to pick me up first
it was crazy
in the end he ended up cheated on me
which seems even more crazy

anyways I think you tell him how you feel and make him understand your not guna betray him or anything

Personally, not all of us guys are like that. Sometimes I want to hold you while watching a movie and others I urge you to go hang out with your friends for the night and continue having a social life. I'm not the kind of guy who wants to tie anyone down because that's just obsessive. Slightly po-sessive also, now that I think about it.

lol... you two have a unique way of working things out...
How about you talk about it? like maybe he should explain what the "little more than that" is, and you get a day out with your friends without him (ideally he'd be doing something with his friends...)

Ask him to give you a little more space, and to not always be there. Especially if you want to just hang with your friends, tell him that and ask him not to disturb you. If he still bugs you and is to clingy breakup with him. You don't want to be caught in a miserable relationship where your not going to be able to breathe. Just explain to him that you don't ALWAYS want him there.

he has to allow you time to not always be working on your relationship together. relationships are hard. communication, remembering...stuff like that gets hard and every once in a while you need a day to just go get your nails done with the girls or whatever. it doesn't mean you don't want or love your boyfriend. I don't think your boy understands this.

maybe he's afraid that if he's not always with you thn you'll leave. maybe he has confidence issuses. who knows. try to understand his clinginess, and then go from there.
