I don't know...
I would say its the funnest. I wouldn't really say the best time because there are a lot of important and remembering things that come after childhood.

It may not be the best time of your life but I believe your childhood will always be the most remembered part. As humans, we don't live in the now. We tend to live in the past and future tense so it's natural for us to always dwell on our past (childhood) and wonder about our future. I think we can't help but to dwell on our childhood because most of our lives we live as adults so those childhood years now just seems so precious.

I find myself yearning for my childhood through memories but one day I just told myself, "I'm making memories RIGHT NOW." I've learned to just take-in this very moment and smile about it because I'm so tired of living in the past tense knowing that one day I'm going to miss this very day. Sometimes I really hate being an adult because I feel like I've been corrupted by this negative world and society. This world isn't nasty, people are. When you're a kid you live in this safe/close-minded/naive world. I believe 100% that we should respect our elders because I'm a believer of the phrase, "Wisdom comes with age."

More than what you might have wanted but hope I've helped some.

I was with my dad at the moment he passed away. he turned his head, looked past my shoulder, smiled and said "hiya, guys". that was the expression his childhood friends would greet each other with.
he looked happy and peaceful after being in pain for many months. I would say that, at that moment, childhood was the best time of his life.

I guess when I think of childhood, I am thinking about early childhood, birth to 10 or so. you are right, after that it is not much fun. I was always in trouble.

Most people say so but really and truly not everyone is going to have that fairy tale childhood...I guess it will all have to do with the whole environmnent surrounding the child...but for some people real happy living begins in adulthood
