Why do people chat for such a short time?

I go for chatting with the different people on the net and my chatting doesnt even last for more than 10mins.I ask them polietly and even dont go much personal,then why do most people logoff after 10 to 15 mins?please suggest mesome way to prolong my...

Kevin I think people find you boring. Try being cocky and funny next time you talk to someone. Ladies like talking to people who are witty and funny.

well a lot of people are cautious and don't like to talk to random strangers.
Try to maybe meet them on some kind of site so they know that your not a s*x offender or something lol.
Like on FunAdvice here, meet them on this site and ask them if they want to keep talking about this topic.

What I've discovered is that when you chat online, people get upset if you don't respond immeadiatly. So therefore, you have to focus on only chatting when you are. That makes it hard to do anything else and people (as a general fact) don't like only focusing on one thing. Therefore, they get bored fast and cut short,

People in chat room mostly come for marketing purpose.And if they achieve it they will neglect you and try to chat with some other person.And if they logout of messenger that means they chatting from there workplace and they try to chat for a while in between there work.
