How come when you buy insurance on a cell phone, your deductable costs more than the phone itself does? Why would you even buy insurance?

I'm not sure why it's like that but I don't have insurance so that way if my phone breaks or something it will be about $300 to buy me a new one. So if someone usually either breaks their phone or loses it then it's probably good to get insurance.
