Gonorrhea and Chlamydia are both treatable, and non-fatal, but both can cause sterility in men and women, and also cause Pelvic Inflammatory Disease in women. Both partners need to be treated immediately. Your family doctor, or any sexual health clinic should be able to provide you with the proper antibiotics, and some very detailed information.
