Caught smoking weed!

so heres the deal. my parents have been suspicious of me smoking weed for about 2 weeks now and 2 days ago they adressed me about it asking if I smoked before and all this s*&^. I was like yeah I've tried it before.I lied right to theire face. I like to...

smoke a lot put it that way. I started about 6 months ago and ever since I started life has been great no worries in the world. now when they found out that I tried it they punished me for a month and cant do &&^* all I got is my laptop. I have to go to counsiling take random drug tests and cant hang with my best friend anymore. now im think I should just say f*&^ them and still smoke because in about a year and a half ill be 18 and can actually say ^%$& them. I dont see why they think its so bad. my grades have been better than ever this year, and workout daily and play soccer. its not like im a bad kid. any advice?

Your parents are upset because you are their child and weed is illegal. I am not saying I have anything against marijuana, but it is illegal and most parents dont want their children participating in illegal activities.
They are just worried about you, that's what parents do. You should stop for now while you are under their roof, especially if they are randomly drug testing you. Also, dont smoke in your parents house, that is completely disrespectful. Why not wait until you are 18 or have moved out, then you can do what you like.
Your parents aren't being mean or unfair, they are doing what they think is right for their child.

hi my boyfriend had smoked pot since he was 10 hes 21 now and beleive me people dont think its addictive it is it causes mental illnesses he has now cut down just dont go too heavy on it

All you pot heads aren't very smart for doing stuff like that. Its kind of like a way out for you saying hey I cant handle life. An easy way out if you ask me it is like backing down from a fight I have never done pot and im just happy and it ticks me off that there are people out there that dont care what this world is coming to cause there are some smart people out there that could do a lot for this world but they would rather do stupid stuff and say oh lifes to hard where is my easy button. As for you going and trying to get back at your parents that is stupid cause they are trying to help you. They love you and you need to think about it they are going to be the ones that are there for you when you need them cause friends will come and go and you dont need to listen to the people on here telling you to do the wrong thing cause do you think that they care what happens to you are they going to take the blame when you get in trouble or better yet are they going to take the punishment for your sins?

weed eases the ways of life. its not a easy way out or an "easy button" you cant say anything negative unless you have tried it

Their your parents though, that's what you need to understand. When it comes to illegal activities, there is no reasoning with them. You say you are almost 18 right? I would just lay low for a while, and then move out, then you can do what you want. Do not smoke under their roof though, it's disrespectful, and also it can cause a lot of problems for your parents if weed was caught in their house. Did you know that they could lose the house if cops found weed in it?

I think... whether they ask you to stop smoking weed, or to stop wearing your shoes on their new white carpet, you should have some respect for their request. That's manners, plain and simple, aside from health issues, the law, or morals. They have told or asked you, and you live with them. As you say, you'll be old enough soon to get your own place and make your own decisions...

That shows you how dumb it is to smoke weed right there if you are taking chances on losing things that you have worked so hard for you might not have things right now but someday you will well maybe I've noticed that a lot of the weed smokers can't ever afford much. It also makes it harder to get and keep a good job.

I think your parents dont understand, and werent quite sure how to handle this problem so they did what they thought was best. I understand how you smoke to have a chance to get away from life,because sometimes you just need to get away from all the problems. But I personally think that you should not let it be an addiction. You should try and find something else to keep you busy. Im not saying you should stop, you should still do it if you feel its necessary but dont let it be control you,because in the end,after a couple of hours of happiness, you are still stuck with your life and you are still you. If you love so much keep doing its organic lol,but just be careful,and know there are other things in life...

Your facts are false there ma'am. Smoking weed does NOT decrease your chance's of holding on to a job, also me and my fiance have never had a problem affording things because we smoke either.
Also, he said that he does not smoke in his parents house or keep drugs in their house, so for you telling him he's stupid for risking those things, is void.
I agree that his parents were right for being upset, being as that's their child, but I dont agree with you stereotyping marijuana smokers.

I just had another discusion with my mom about weed and teh first thing she automatically thinks if I do weed which I dont even call a drug is she thinks im goign right downt the drain and ending up no where. very sterotypical. the media has a lot to do with this.

Well it is hard to believe that there is this many people on here that think it is ok to break the law and go on sining as long as your not under your parents house I will pray for all of you and im not just saying that im really going to pray for you cause I think that you should do what is right no matter what im not perfect and I know people make mistakes but you should use your head and do what is right.

I must say this though. That may be true for people with addictive personalities, but it's not true for everyone. I have been in addictive disorder classes and alcoholics anonymous classes, both for myself and for other people. They say all the time that most people can drink, try drugs, smoke marijuana, etc., and put it down just as easily. The only way that you get addicted is if you have an addictive personality to begin with. It is a disease, that not everyone has. That's like saying that every person who has a drink every now and then is an alcoholic, which is not true in any way.
Also, alcohol is way more addictive than marijuana, if you dont beleive me, do some more research, and alocohol is legal and you dont see people giving other's a hard time for drinking occasionaly now do you.

You say smoking weed is a sin? Please back up your information, because NO where in the bible does it say anything about smoking marijuana. Also, marijuana, is a plant, it is not mixed with anything, it is not made by humans, it was made by God, if that's who you believe in. Right?
Also, have you ever drank alcohol ma'am? Because if your saying weed is a sin, then alcohol must also be a sin because alcohol is actually a drug in it self. Dont believe me, look it up. It is a drug, it's just a legal one. Alcohol must not be a sin, since they serve wine in church as the body of christ. Right?
I think you need to get your facts straight before you tell anyone that you will pray for them. Which is also very offensive to someone if they are not your religion by the way.
