If I am worried about my cats health and don't have the money to take her to the vet could I bring her into the vet and tell them I just found the cat thats its not mine, will they take the cat and help it out? without me being resonsible financially?

Maybe you should Talk to the vet and explain your situation and offer to work some cleaning cages or what ever needs to be done in exchange.

You also gain from it in a future referance for Job hunting.

Yup rnealw has it right. Vets will not treat strays in most circumstances. They'd call Animal Control probably. It's better to be honest and try to work something out like Rodney suggested.

Yeah, they've heard the one about the stray cat before and they won't believe you even if it's true. Honesty is always the best policy. I know. I know.

Hi,
A lot of vets will have you "sign over" your pet if you can't afford it. It's really too bad that good people like yourself can't get help without having to lie because 99.9% of vets out there don't take payments. Who's side are they on? What's the issue your cat is having? I've got 15, so chances are I've run across it at some point.
