Cartilage piercing

Im thinking about getting my cartilage pierced. Im not worried about the pain or anything but I heard it takes a long time to heal. Does anyone know how long the average healing period is, because I play volleyball in august and I have to be able to take...

cartliege doesnt heal. I got mine pierce and the hole is still there. the skin grew over it but the hole is still punched in the cartilege. I might be wrong though.

Advisor-small

dont worry about the pain, its nothing you cant handle
just dont go anyewere were theyll peirce it with a gun!
you need to get it donr properly with the needle
you should be able to take it out for aygust
earrings take less time to heal than other things
a few weeks is a good estament
take care of it too, but dont overclean it
and dont leave it out for a long period of time, unless its fully healed

you be fine...I peirced my own with a needle in my bathroom shoved an earing through it and slept right on it. I never put any thing on it and it never got infected

ok well...I got mine done last december. they take 3-6 months to heal...but you have to clean them everyday and saltwater helps.
