Canon camera

Okay im going to get a camera soon, but I need too know if the one I want is any good or if is hould be looking at something different. Right now im looking at a Canon Powershot SD890 IS. If anyone has it of knows about, could you tell me if its worth it...

or I should be looking for something else? Also the main thing ill be taking pictures of is close up on things like flowers and ill be taking pics of scenery. Thanks for any help given!

there is nothing better than the nikon if you want true quality but you will have to pay a high price

if your doing scenery than canon is the only camera with a panoramic option so if your in a valley you can do a whole wrap around of the layout as far as close ups it depends your not looking at an SLR so Nikon is out of the picture of course a 3000 dollar camera is good...its 3000 dollars but for an SD your prob not going to get quality close up shots that you want typically its the slightly fatter canons that have the panoramic and high zoom options its going to take double AA batteries you can pic the model but your prob going to want somthing other than an elf if your doing scenery
