Can you put a password lock on text messages on the iphone?

Is there anyway?
I hate when people read my texts.

It puts a lock over the whole phone so no one can access it without the code, but what you do is go to settings on the main screen then go to General there should be a list of options to choose from then you'll go to passcode lock and enter a the code you want! Hopefully this helps!
