You are not losing weight because when you eat solittle your body is tricked into thinking you are going inot starvation mode and it will hang onto your calories. The best way to lose weight if to eat 5 or 6 tiny meals a day to trick your body into thinking it is getting regular food. You cant be an overweight anorexic. Anorexics can die from heart attacks. Talk to your parents and friends. They will love you for who you are.

Just because you do not have anorexia, does not mean you do not have an eating disorder.

The DSM is slow moving and comes up with new diagnoses every 20 years or so (ok its probably less, but they really should move faster) and so it doesnt have an exact category for your disorder

You would probably be catagorized under ED-NOS, not otherwise specified...

That doesnt make it any less dangerous or you will not have the adverse effects that come with not eating. Your body needs proteins, fats and carbs not just for energy and fueling (which I suppose can be gotten from burning down your own fat storage) but for other things, like repairing, building, defense, it needs vitamins and other nutrients... You eat because unlike a plant, you cannot create your own food...

How do you think some anorexics start out? Hence the obsession and self image of weight. It is extremely dangerous to fast and to be only consuming 200 cal. plus exercising! Most anorexics will become a phenomenon called "skinny fat" where you appear skinny but have more fat than muscle (your body eats muscle first because it has the most energy) and really high cholesterol. Soon the body will fail like this.

to be diagnosed anorexic your BMI has to be 17.5 or less.

although the things you do, the way your mind works can be anorexic at any weight.

nearly all anorexics start off at healthy or over weight.

you are doing anorexic things, but at the moment you would be classed as EDnos.
