How can I tell if he's just flirting for fun?

How can I tell if my guy friend is just flirting with me for fun or if he's flirting with a reason?

- He's touchy-feely
- Always trying to make me laugh
- We share a lot of personal feelings/situations
- Reads my emotions better than anyone I know
-...

Tells me he loves me
- Seeks my approval in many aspects of his life
- He doesn't flirt with other people unless he's interested in them

On the flip side:
- He is actively trying to find me a boyfriend
- Has a girlfriend
- We rarely hang out outside of organization

What's going on here?

More info like his age would be helpful, but in general you'll know if a guy really likes you. If a guy is seriously interested, he will ask you out. The signs you listed DO demonstrate that he likes you, but the fact that he has a girlfriend may be the factor that prevents him from taking it any further. On the other hand, he may be just a flirt. The fact that he has a girlfriend is what is important because he's unavailable. If he's not asking you out (for whatever reason) he's not worth your energy. You want a guy who can't wait to spend time with you and get to know you. I recommend the book, "He's Just Not That Into You". It's filled with lots of practical info about decoding men.
