First off all, this is a dumb question but are you completely sure that the pain is from your hip? Sometimes when you are exercising too hard or you don't warm up properly you get a pain in your side very close to the hip- a side-stitch is what they call it...If you think that might be the reason you should stretch before you start exercising because I always get pains in my side as well! You should be stretching your legs, doing Push-ups, sit-ups, leg-lifts, jumping jacks etc...It will only take about 5-10 minutes! If the problem is not a pain in your side you need to keep putting ice on it, and you should rest until you can go to the doctor so they can look at it. Good Luck!

Did I pull my hip muscle?
ok almost two weeks ago I was on the tredmill running I ran a mile an a half by the way and when I stopped my hip hurt so bad I couldnt hardly walk. and it bacame swollen. and it is still to the day still hurting to touch it and I cant run on it very...
well. and when I walk for a long period of time because I workout a lot.. meaning I walk like an hour almost everyday I cant help it it is a habit anyway I limp the day after I walk..
does anyone know what could be the problem ???
should I call doctor?

I dont know what I could of done by just running on the stupid tredmilll..
