Dont Eat up to two hours before you go to sleep.
When You DO sleep,Dont Wait any longer than 10 to go to bed.
Turn the clock the other way so you wont be staring at it every ten minutes
Go to bed, everytnight at the same time.
Sometimes Tea helps you sleep, try cammomile.
Also, reading before bed is known to make you tired.
It seems you have been taking sleeping pills for some time, and at your age this is really not good. It's best to avoid getting any drugs in your system. If you stop taking them now, you will have some kind of 'cold turkey', like irritability, sweating, edginess, and you will find it harder to sleep at first, but once the drugs are out of your system you will feel healthier and will sleep better by natural methods.
A drop of Olbas oil on the edges of your pillows is very good for both refreshing and relaxing you (it's also very good for combatting colds and flu). Smell anything with lavender in it - the smell is incredibly soothing. Get some vitamins in your system, and/or take a herbal tonic every day (ask at the health food shop), because this will boost your system, make you feel more well, and make you feel better adjusted.
You will also feel much better if you have regular exercise - even having lots of walks is good. Avoid anything sugary, and that includes fizzy drinks. Avoid junk food like burgers and KFC. Try to cut down on chocolate and sweets. A little of those is okay, but only a VERY little.
Diet and exercise are every important if you are going to have a well-adjusted system, and without such a system your sleep problems will continue.
