I want to give myself a tatoo but I want to know if I can use pen ink??

no idea but I would assume not but trying to tattoo yourself like that is a pretty stupid idea u'll most likey end up with a horrible thing that you'll regret, take a long hard think before getting anything permantly done to yourself and go to a pro to get it done

Prison tattoos are generally made with whatever ink they can find including ink from pens.

It is rather dangerous to make homemade tatoos. Your risk of infection, reactions, irritation, scaring, etc. are much higher than when you have a professional do them.

Actually, you can.
I watched my friend do it, but I think she did it a different way then your thinking about.
First- she took a needle and put a lighter to the end of it, to steralize the needle.
Then- she drew the outline of her tattoo, breaking the skin, but not to deep, cause of course you woud start bleeding, then took whatever pen ink you want too, and drew inside of it, ugh, it sounds painful, but I watched her do it.
