That's me Asked by plutonium 5 months ago, 5 answers.

Well, I'm a writing a song and I'm not sure if I can say "a pack of cigarettes has been smokeN". How does it sound if I say like this? Is it absolutely incorrect or it sounds fine?

Hold on now you guys, he only gave us a part of the line.
Now if you changed the lyric from "a pack of cigarettes has been smoken" to " a pack of cigarettes have been smoken", depending on what the rest of the lyrics are to that part, it may work.
Any body have a further opinion on that?

"smoken" sounds like slang for "smoking," which would give me as a listener the impression that cigarettes were smoking.

You're better off using "smoked" and rewriting that line.
