Could be all sorts of things that start it up, id ask a doctor ASAP. Such things like school, a "lover" or just problems with someone making you angry can start them.
Can often be some anxiety working away in the subconscious.
I deal with it this way (using a relaxation technique) ...
Lying down on your back imagine your big toe getting really heavy and falling through the floor... now the other big toe...now all your toes...then your whole foot...then the other one...then your shin, knee etc... you get the picture...
By the time you get to your head you will be really relaxed...
Now then, what you need to do is practise this before you have any more attacks... do it every night in bed until you become used to it. Very often you will be asleep when you're only half finished...
When you feel an attack coming on just start thinking of your big toe getting heavy and you will start to relax automatically...doesn't matter where you are...and you wont have to lie down... you will feel the peacefulness come over you and you will be more in control.
Works for me... :¬)
I would just meditate till I calm down or just call your psyciatrist
