How can I get my hair blonde?

cait and me Asked by livxo about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

My hair has been dyed black and darkest brown numerous times over the past 2 years so has a fair bit of colour build up. I went to the hairdresser and they bleached it to brown. Then I went again and they bleached it to this strange colour which was a...

mixture of blonde at the roots and they did a full head of foils so my hairs sort of orangey brassy looking. but still a light brown sort of blonde. Im supposed to be going to the hairdresser in 3 days but I think I can do a similar job to her at home. I have salon quality bleach and salon quality peroxide at a variety of volts. can anybody share their past experiences and tips on what I should do.

I am aiming for a light blonde!
xx peace

I have to disagree with brooke_lynn. Sorry : / . Do not go and get color remover. I am a haristylist. Your stylists have been working on your hair this far and it's made it. It often takes more than one trip to remove black and color build up, especially to get to a blonde. Stick with your stylists, it may take a few trips, but you'll get there. With your stylists help, they will not damage your hair. As a hairstylist who has been coloring her own hair black brown, red and blonde for over 10 years, please listen to my advice.

Go to your local beauty supply store and buy some color remover. It might take a few tries but it works. Get the one that takes out permanent dye. It will take you to your natural color. Then wait a month and dye it to the color you want.
