ALL OF YALL ARE FULL OF IT JUST because A WHITE PERSON ACTS BLACK DONT MEAN THAT HE IS A WIGGER AND I DONT THINK ITS RITE FOR YOU TO SAY THAT because your TRY TO CALL HIM A WHITE N*GGER...ALL people ARENT RAISED THE SAME SO people ARE HOW THEY ARE RAISED I AM BLACK AND I LIVE IN A VERY WHITE NEIGHBORHOOD AND I HAVE BLK WHT MEX FRIENDS AND MY SON IS HALF MEX BUT I DONT GO AROUND ACTING LIKE A MEX SO ITS ABOUT HOW your RAISED...
I see it as everyone is raised differently, yes ok fair point. BUT, I think people will act in different ways when there with different people. But most people will act individually to their certain characteristics.
Bottom line everybody is different to each other, who cares if they want to wear the trousers round the ankles ("Wigga" style), or have them tucked into their socks (UK Chav style). Its not a fad, its a personality
Hey...not much to add...just to note that there are numerous black races. Black Africans, Bushmen, Pygmies, Nubians, Dravidians, Melanesians, Micronesians, Aboriginal Australians. This on a certain acceptance of the word "Race" admittedly. The most broad definition. Define yourself however you like. It may interest you to find out which of these black races you are miscegenated with. Perhaps you will find a new appreciation of these genes. Don't let people categorize you. This always leads to marginalization, or so it seems. Good to hear you haven't fallen into that trap.
I guess what the question means is: 'Why do people of once race act like they were from another race?' Is that a fair summary? Part of the answer is given above by all the people who are actually of mixed heritage, and find that they act most like their family and friends, rather than necessarily behaving like a complete represenation of their parentage.
In the UK certain popular phrases have begun with the Pakistani or Indian British, especially the popular question: 'innit?' Soon their black friends were using it too, and their white friends, and then people on TV, and then many more who didn't even hang out with the people who started it. I guess it became a 'fad' or a 'trend', but it also became disconnected from its original racial origin. So people who say 'innit?' these days aren't necessarily trying to sound like their grandparents came from Pakistan, they're just being trendy in a certain way. Maybe that's what's happening with trends started by African Americans - they become popular, everyone wants to do them - what's wrong with that?
But for an alternative view, I refer you to Ali G...
While it's true blacks are supposed to fit a certain stereotype (loud, obnoxious, uses the 'N' word frequently, sags their pants, etc.), black people are always going to be a race.
The fact is, a huge majority of the black people you meet will fit this stereotype to a tee, because it's what their peers expect from them. And as history has shown time and time again, heretics and those who REALLY deviate from the norm (I'm not talking scenekid/pseudo non conformist) will always receive criticism.
Really, have you ever seen an emo black kid? A black boy wearing eyeliner? They can't be "fem", they can't have emotions, or else they're a white tryhard and should be burned at the proverbial stake.
Frankly, I find the entire 'black' stereotype -- especially a black girl -- to be extremely unbearable. Almost all of the stereotypical black girls I've met and talked to in my life have b*tched at me for one reason for another... I was harassed by one particularly vicious girl just because I stood in front of her locker. I'm not sure why it's a good thing to be an intolerable, irritable wh*re, but whatever floats their boat.
