Exertion.

Even the slightest bit of exertion (such as standing up) will cause a slight quickening of the pulse. The amount your pulse quickens depends a lot on your level of physical fitness.

When you sit up,the blood from your head goes to your heart and makes it go at a fast pace.BINGO!!!BYE!!!SEND ME COMMENTS!!!

I think it also has something to do with when you are sitting your body is much closer together so your heart rate is less. When you stand up your body is stretched so your heart has to pump the blood farther. hope I helped.

your heart has to work harder when you are standing up because of what is known as veinous pooling. Basically, gravity causes the blood to move toward your feet so the heart has to work harder to pump it around your body.
