Bathroom tub faucet

Asked by cutecutiepie about 1 month ago, 3 answers.

The faucet in my bathroom won't stop running hot water, the faucet is cut off tight. Do anyone know how I can stop the water from running, like fo I cut off the hot water heater, or cut off the hot water value.?

It sounds like you have a bad washer in the valve. If this is a separate faucet from the cold, then it's easy and cheap to fix.

Here's how:

In the mean time, you're wasting water and energy to heat it.

Good luck.

Change your washer in it.

If it is the sink, there is usually a shutoff valve under the sink (in the cabinet). If it's the tub, that may be more difficult and might require shutting off the water at the water heater.

You can usually pick up packets of washers that have several different sizes in them for a couple of bucks at the hardware store. It usually only takes a screw driver and a pair of pliers to replace the washer.
