Background check and old felony

I recently was offered a job with centerpoint energy pipeline I accepted pending a background check. I have a feolny conviction 16 years ago should I be worried?

Every company seems to vary in policies, but it has my experience that companies usually ask if you have had a felony in the past 3, 5 or 7 years (again, depending on the company) If it has been longer, and you say 'no', then you should be in the clear.
However, keep in mind that some companies also have a zero felony tolerance...which means that don't want anyone with any past convictions. Hope this helps.

I have a felony record dated back 16 years also. And I applied for a job as a art director paying 120k a year. at a coorperate company.

I was hired and three months layer my record poped up. In those three months I did a great job But they called me into there office and told me my record poped up from 16 years ago, they ask if I did that 16 years ago. And I said Yes' I was a lost kid then. I
Come a long way since then. Also I pointed out that my record show them what I did16 years ago and I also says what I havnt done since then. I stay positive and record show for 16 years I jac t been arrested. I told them I'm proud of who I am today and pride myself on doing a great job today and tomorrow. I will understand whatever dicission they make. But no matter what I will still be proud of who I am. They said,... You have been doing a fantastic job and we are proud to have you with us. I still work there to this day. Good luck. And keep ya head up.
