Dear ithnku8mysock,
There is no way she has just 2% body fat...but if her body fat is very low she will probably not get her periods, she will find her ability to think will drop. We need fat to fuel the brain. She may find her system will start to break down and will experience a host of medical problems. You may start to notice excessive hair growth on her face due to hormone imbalances.
Sue...good luck
I'm not sure 2% is even possible for women. If someone has only 2% body fat they would be near death.
The leanest woman I ever met was Olympic marathon runner Francie LaRue and she was at 6% body fat. Her exercise physiologist husband assured me that she was healthy at her weight but I doubt women could be healthy any leaner than her.

Is 2% body fat healthy?
Ok, well, I am a gymnast and one of my friends is a gymnast, and she 5 ft, 4in. and is only 2% body fat! Is that healthy???
