Are there home remedies for stomach viruses?

Asked by materialguy over 2 years ago, 6 answers.

I am going to go shopping tomorrow and I was wondering if there was something I could buy to help me through the nausea from whatever stomach virus or bug has gotten to me. Is there home remedies that I could use to make myself feel a little better? ...

Home remedies or just good advice would be extremely appreciated.

Try camomille tea (it helps you fall asleep too, love it), pepperment tea and ginger ale (but make sure it actually has ginger in it and it isn't just the flavoring)

Those are things that can help soothe your stomach.

Don't buy any over the counter medicine. A good home remedy is fresh squeezed organic carrot juice. It takes 1 lb to fill a glass & 6lbs to fill a pint jar. Drink this all day long and your stomach ache will be gone! Then try to eat healthy. Most stomach aches are caused from the food you eat!

If you don't feel well, please stay home. If you do have a stomach virus, you are in the most contagious period. Don't ruin someone's Thanksgiving holiday. Going out tomorrow and spreading your germs around will mean that others will be just start feeling sick on Wednesday or Thursday. Be considerate and stay home.

Nothing will get rid of a stomach bug except your bodies immune system. Just stay in bed and rest as much as possible ): between trips to the potty and drink clear fluids to stay hydrated. I have it my self hope its just about gone. good luck hope ya feel well soon

My doctor told me when I have a gastroenteritis (stomach flu) to starve it out by not eating any solid food and only drinking clear liquids (water, apple juice, clear broth, etc.)

Half vinegar and half water (4oz. and 4oz.). You can sip on it or you can drink it in one shot. It is guaranteed to stop vomiting and nausea immediately. It worked for me just this weekend. You will still feel the aches, but at least the vomiting is gone.
