Are the nintendo wii's any good?

I really want a wii but I dont know if it would be fun or not and I just want to ask has anyone ever played one or do you have one and if so is it a fun gamesystem to have and is it worth what it costs?

yes I personally think that they are awesome..but thats just my opinion..we have 3 of them at home. and I never stop having fun when im playin it

The wii is a great amount of fun to play around with. However, like any game console, it depends what games you play.
Wii games I've found to be the best are:

1) Zelda- any game where you get to actually use your controller by swinging it like a sword gets mega points from me!

2) Warioware: Smooth Moves- a bunch of minigames, great for parties with up to about 12 players for some games.

3) Rayman: Ravin' Rabbits- again, a bunch of mini games. It's more single player orientated though, but the humour of firing plungers at screaming bunnies never gets old.

But then, of course, I still love the DDR style games on PS2, and I love playing Halo on the Xbox (even if I suck at it!). I reckon the wii will still be cranking out fun games for a while yet though, so I strongly recommend if you've got the money to spend on one, go for it.
