Are redheads dying out?

I mean natural red haired people.

Is it just a rumour?

natural blondes and redheads are eventually going to be nonexistant because, like jello said, they are both recessive genes and after time the dark haired genes will just take over. but that's very unlikely to happen during any of our lifetimes.

because Red hair is a recessive gene, red haired people are slowly going extint, as well as blondes... but theyll be here for awhile ^_^

I hope not- I love women with red hair- but alas I heard something along that line as well.

I've heard the rumour that in like 100 years or somthing redheads will be extinct...then again the person who told me that was a redhead himslelf...but I have no real answer.

I'm pretty sure it's true.
