am I too lazy

Guys am I too lazy ? I had calculus class in high school, but when I just went to sign up for college classes, I took the placement test I didnt really pay attention and I got a bad score in it, now in college they give me prealgebra is it shame for me...

? iam so disappointed, I was excited to go to college now I dont want to step in it. Should I continue or what can you people help me please

You can blame laziness if you choose, but from where I'm sitting it seems more neglegent than anything. If you knew that you had this placement test, you should have study a bit for it. Don't ya think... and giving up is NEVER the best option no matter what happens, you just say, ok I made a mistake now what can I do to correct. Take a retest or try really hard and after you finish your prerequisite courses, finish them strong and then go for what you inteneded to go for, and also remember college is different from high school... even the levels that they teach at are way different. Plus college's main purpose is obviously education, however along the way you meet people and make friends that will last a lifetime... So hang in everything will work out.

Lazy? maybe. Especially if you were in calculus. Could you possibly retake the placement test? I know at the school I'm going to be going to, you can retake them up until a certain date when your schedule becomes final. I was in AAT and was going to take college algrebra when I go, but I decided to go with the harder class I qualified for when I took the placement. Don't lower your knowledge. USE that brain! lol. Retake the test if you can. and if not, then take prealgebra, pass it and then go from there.

Well if you were lazy then back then, then make up for it now. Do your best in prealgebra and prove that you can do better.
