Am I pregnant or having another miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage four years ago at 12 weeks, after that I had a heavy flow of breast milk. Today if I squeeze my breasts small amounts of milk comes out. My main problem is my partner and I have tried again to no avail. around the 25th- 30 June 2007 we had sex, but not in the hope to fall pregnant. My period was due the 15th July 2007, but did not come. The 21st July, which was a Saturday I got a very light flow which stopped after two days. The nest day I had a home test which showed a very very faint positive line, but this line only appeared after 20 minutes. The following day I had this light spotting again, I took another test which showed negative. I don't have any symptoms that I may be pregnant except the milk, but that has always been there since the miscarriage. Since then I am having this very light to nothing bleeding and I’m going for the second week with it. I'm so worried as I would love to find out if I may be pregnant and why is this spotting not stopping after all this days? I have never used contraceptives in my life. Please help.

The only way you are going to put your mind at ease is to see your physician. We can only speculate, doctors will know for sure!

I don't think you are having a miscarriage, ususally a miscarriage is heavy flow all at once and very painfull. Spotting could mean that you are pregnant. That is common about the breast milk, I had a stillborn several years ago and a few days later I woke up with my entire bed covered in breast milk and my breasts deflated. It has been seven years now and I still have leakage from time to time. Are you having any other symptoms such as sore breasts or cramps or fatigue? I think you should go to a doctor and have a blood test done soon. You may be experiencing some type of a-topical pregnancy or tubal. That may be why you had a faint positive and then a negative. Don't get too worried about it because it could just be mother nature...but be careful and get tested soon.
