Hi!
BMI Categories:
* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Looking at these categories, you are JUST on the cusp of being a normal weight and overweight, according to your BMI. However, there can be some fluctuations because people with larger statutes and bigger bone structures ought to have a higher BMI. I wouldn't categorize myself as "fat" or "overweight", but I would start working out and eating right to make sure I didn't go up any higher in BMI.
Hope that helps.
A body mass index of 25-29.9 is generally considered overweight, 18.5-24.9 is considered normal. It sounds like you are right in between, and so you may want to consider exercising a little more and trying to get into better shape- but you don't have far to go. Remember BMI does not take into account muscle mass, so if you are very athletic you may not be overweight at all.

Am I overweight?
I weigh 70kgs, 5'6 and have a BMI of 25. Am I overweight and if so how do I lose weight safely as an insulin dependent diabetic?
