No, you're not 'destined' - yours is an individua life, separate from anyone else - it all boils down to 'Choices' - they made bad choices - you control your choices, so you can CHOOSE not to follow the same path to destruction and be drug-free - the Choice you make determines your future...I wish you the best life has to offer !!
You chose your own life, you are not destoned to do anything but live how you chose...You can speak to various nice counsellors about trying to stay clean off of bad substances and not fall into the trap of using them..I think you should be the one in your family who makes a life for themselves and enjoys it, resist the temptation, whenever you think of doing it just think its not what I want, no one on drugs is ever happy they just think they are...
Best of luck and I hope you get through it ok...
course your not destined 2 be one..!
but I do think that addiction passes through family, cause my mother had problems with drink and what not, and I see myself turning out the same as her and im trying to stay away from it now because I feel myself needin it more...I just think you should be careful about it , you know?

Sorry but I am not going to be a Pollyanna on this answer.
YOU HAVE ALREADY STARTED.
I am NOT one to bewail the 'evils' of weed, alcohol, or tobacco, but you are getting REAL close to danger.
Addiction has a strong genetic component, and with as much family history as you have, you probably have the capacity big time.
You either had or have a problem with tobacco (your answers vary) and you know that alcohol can be addicting. But you seem to think that pot is a free ride. First of all the THC in pot is much more potent today than in the Sixties and Seventies when I had it. And it sometimes takes years for pot addiction to kick in, but when it does it is profound, and it is VERY hard to get off. (The 'good' thing about pot addiction is that most of the problems (memory problems, depression, sleep problems, etc.) go completely away after recovery.) This is information from one of the leading addiction specialists in the world, Dr. Drew Pinsky.
I really hope that you don't get addicted, because once you do, it will be a life long struggle to stay free.
Take care of yourself, and as always
Good Luck!!
