There are no cures for poison ivy, but you can use calomine lotion to relieve some of the irritation and itchiness then go consult a doctor.

It usually takes about two weeks to get rid of poison ivy rash. For a home remedy, try applying the crushed leaves of jewelweed.

But there is another kind of treatment of poison ivy rash: namely, prevention. If you realize you've just come into contact with poison ivy, take the following steps immediately:

1. Apply rubbing alcohol to the infected area.
2. Rinse with water (any water).
3. Wash up with soap and warm water.

I found that if you mix milk and salt and apply it w/ a cottonball, it dries up the poison ivy and shows results within 24 hrs.
