8 simple rules

What ever happened to the 8 simple rules tv series? Is it over? How many seasons are/were there?

The dad died, in real life. Jack Ritter was his name I think? And after that it was just to sad to watch for some people cause he was the main character and was sooo funny. So they canceled it. I think it had like three seasons. It comes on ABC family sometimes. I think.

John Ritter suffered an aortic dissection, and during a rehearsal on September 11, 2003, crew members took him to a nearby hospital, where he passed away that night. The show finally returned on November 4, 2003 with a one-hour episode called "Goodbye" dedicated to John Ritter's death.

After the third season finale, rumors circulated that 8 Simple Rules was going to be cancelled. The third sesason finale received a 3.9/8 rating. The show cancelled due to decilining ratings.

On May 17, 2005, 8 Simple Rules was officially cancelled by ABC.

I really liked this show too. It's on ABC Family at 6 o clock US Eastern Time on weeknights.
