6 small meals a day diet??

Asked by fau about 1 month ago, 3 answers.

ok im 5'9 and I weigh 195 lbs. I've decided to try the 6 small meals a day diet for a little while to see what kind of results I get. heres my question. does high sodium effect the diet. I went grocery shopping and bought a bunch of bananas for breakfast...

and granola bars for in between snacks but decided to buy chicken and turkey tv dinners for lunch and dinner. they each have about 600-700 mg of sodium. was that a bad idea and does exercise effect the situation because I run around a lot at work and play basketball for an hour or so usually 3-4 times a week

It's better to cook your own meals when going on a diet, then you can control the amount of fats, sodium, etc in your food. I think the extra sodium is just going to make you retain water weight, so in the long run you may start losing fat, but the water weight will make it seem as though you have not lost any weight, or even put on some weight.

Exercise can help. And it's okay to slowly adjust yourself into this diet.
