4 week old kitten

boredom Asked by lostnconfused about 1 month ago, 6 answers.

I have a baby kitten and she is a nut case. But Does anyone know how to potty train a kitten? She keeps having accidents and it's really getting old.

Is she going by herself? or do you have to stimulate her? don't move the liter box around and keep putting her in it after she is done eating or after waking up form a nap. She should get use to it. Trust me your hard work will pay off.

She's been going herself. I have had to change my sheets like 4 times in the pass day-in-a-half.

Either take her out or put her in the litter box every time after she eats, and make sure she stays there until she poops. She'll get used to it and do it on her own after awhile.

You should also put her in a smaller part of the house for a couple of day till she gets use to it. Like your bathroom or a small cage that has room for a litter box. A house is a big world for a little girl. I would not let her in the bed until she is able to know her way around. Trust me put her in a room with the liter box and introduce her to the rest of the house later.

She's awfully young...with an attention span about as long as your pinkie nail. The worst thing about getting a kitten this young, is it's mama would be teaching it all these things...

If it were me, I'd have a number of litter boxes available in different rooms...if you catch her in the act, just pick her up and put her in the box...as she gets older (but probably not till 3 months), you can start eliminating the kitty boxes until you get down to one...

Thank you. She is an orphan and I am stuggling to take care of her(like feeding EVER 3 hours), she is a wonderful baby, but she is TO MUCH like a real baby.
