13 year old with an imaginary friend

Do you think it is ok for a 13 yr old to have an imaginary friend to vent her negative emotions onto???

Well no. If you don't have anyone else to vent the negative emotions...might as well have an imaginary friend. Just do it where no one can see or hear you. They might think it's weird to see someone talking to themselves. Trust me, I had one in 5th grade.

That depends on whether the 13 year old knows that it's imaginary...
Younger kids often have imaginary friends, but after a certain point to not be able to distinguish between reality and the imagination could be a little worrying...

thats a tad strange, my friend... although I had 7 imaginary friends when I was 8. I knew they weren't real, but I pretended to believe in them for attention. I was so cool..
