  • Mechanics how much do they make in a year?
One guy I know was making about $30 an hour here in the bay area, but he's been doing it for a while, took classes etc. In less expensive areas, you'll make less.

  • Is Afghanistan the Bush administration's biggest failure?
There is no "winning" in any armed conflict unless you have a clear, articulated goal. The last one that comes to mind is WW2, where the goal was "free Europe" and "stop Hitler"...the goal, if there was one, in the Afghanistan war was "get Osama" which...

  • What's your favourite Starbucks drink?
I'll have a grande upside down caramel machiatto, non fat :) As for the political stuff, it's been removed. If we're talking coffe let's stick to that & post something on politics in the political section.

  • Looking for bargains online
ebay? craigslist? smartbargains or overstock? Though..."very very cheap"...is a myth, you know the expression, if it's too good to be true, it is?

...if it broke the terms of use, we remove it, pretty simple, irregardless of personal feelings on the matter. If you have a copy & feel it didn't break the terms of use, then please send it to me & I can review it as well if you like.

  • is there a way to make some money from the internet
My dad grows flowers & sells them online, on his site and via posts on craigslist...however, the Internet is pike anything else; it takes time & effort to make any money, and you need to be fairly technical.

  • Google adsense does anyone use it? (100.00%)
Depending on the site, content, etc...eg, a site with content where there are a lot of advertisers (such as web hosting, credit cards, etc) makes a lot more than a site with content about "how do I get a boyfriend" etc. Average "CPM" for a 3rd party...

  • Whats the point of comments?
Interestingly enough: some people can't "find" fun mail. Comments = they appear right on the profile page, so for some, are easier to see :) And, sometimes, it's worthwhile to leave your thoughts where others can see, not just to send them privately...

  • Zune Games
Microsoft should have an "app store" of the equivelent for the zune, similar to what apple has for their ipod / ipod touch, ya? Failing that, I'm sure you can get some zune games at a place like zunerama, zone.msn.com, or (ironically) freezunedownlo...

  • Just why did Palin set up a new "personal" email account in 2006? (33.33%)
phrannie, absolutely. Let's start with the presidents' unlawful use of RNC email to cover up white house doings for a few years, and then work our way down...after all, if we can't hold the highest officials responsible, their bad behavior might "tr...

  • Rich People and Oil Prices
@ethmer I'm not rich. It is the "rich" people who start businesses And that's wrong. I've started 8 businesses and sold two. My dad has started two, and his net worth (including his house, which I don't own one) is probably less than my networth...

  • Has the greed from the "ME" generation finally caught up with us?
But in the end, it all comes back to one issue - housing. BTW, that's from a CNN article...I don't know about you, but even 3 years ago, I couldn't buy a house where I live. And I still can't afford one. If you trace back the fiscal responsibi...

  • Has the greed from the "ME" generation finally caught up with us? (50.00%)
I dont' know about you, but I haven't invested (yet) in any company who's values I didn't agree with. And the stock I held (Yahoo) I sold. If I had the chance, I'd do it again, too - this was before the layoffs of a ton of workers by a *profitable* ...

  • Governor Palin's email address has been high jacked? Why? (80.00%)
The issue here isn't the email security (besides, Yahoo would be in huge trouble if it got "hacked" somebody probably guessed the password) - it's that Palin was using Yahoo mail to conduct *state* business. That's illegal. And, a HUGE problem. So I...

  • Governor Palin's email address has been high jacked? Why? (100.00%)
Unless *Obama* did it, OR one of his staff...its not his fault, right? So why on Earth would you blame him? And, Obama voted *for* telecom immunity, as did McCain. So they both wanted to give companies a pass for spying on us. It's not just Obama, i...

  • Economy fundamentally sound? (50.00%)
