katwoman's Group

I'd like to welcome everyone who has stumbled onto my group. This is my first group and, right now, I have one member, me. Although I like myself, it's kinda hard to have discussions with myself. We can talk about anything. I'm 54 and seen or done about everything. There isn't much that surprises me. I enjoy giving advice to others. I've found that it can be very addictive, as others have discovered too. I have more issues with health right now, because I am disabled and so is my son, who is 38. I also know a little about relationships. I've been married and divorced 3 times. Now that doesn't make me an expert on what to do in relationships as much as it does, in what NOT to do. I was a hair stylist. I went to school and passed the Board of Cosmetology so I know a little about beauty (hair and make-up) issues. I like to think I'm pretty well rounded in a lot of subjects, however, there are a few that I don't know anything about, such as Computers and Technology, Education, Sports and Travel. Well, I hope you'll be a part of my group and we'll see if it gets off the ground. Thanks for reading and See ya later, Carol - AKA - Katwoman

I seem to have forgotten about my group. I've posted in a lot of places but this would be the place and I'm so tired now, that I don't even know if I could copy and paste something.
I hoped I wouldn't have to say this but as you know, Toonces, my cat, has been very sick.
He has been at the Vet for the past couple of days. They hyfrated him (with I've, I guess) and then they ran bloodwork). The Dr called today and said that he had Leukemia and, of course, that means he has to be put to sleep. She said that he, literally, had no white cells left. They use the same drug that thy use when they do surgery which puts the pet to sleep. Then, they give thm a shot that stops their heart. As bad as that sounds, it's so much better than the way he was having to go, by starving himself. He would drink water but no food.

So, I guess, by now, that he has already gone to kitty heaven, if there is one.
I will miss him greatly. He was a part of our family.

depending on the type of test, you can have the I've, which to me is much easier for you.

Wow, thanks, you guys. It's so sweet of you to care. I'll drink it if I have to. First I have to have a blood test done and it depends on the results. They're looking for Cancer. It's not that my doctor suspects Cancer, so much. It's just that I have lost a lot of weight and I went to my Oncologist just to see what she thought the reason might be and it's been a while since I've seen her. I thought I could use a check up with her.
I will let you know what the results are. I may not have to have the scan done. If I do, I think I can have the I.V. dye. She asked me if I was allergic to it and I told her that I had gotten very sick once after having the I.V. dye, however I've had the test done with the dye since then and I didn't get sick.
Amoeba, Is that true? Can I just have the I.V. dye and not the drink? When my doctor was talking about having the scan, she didn't mention the drink. A nurse called later and left a message on my machine. I feel like if the doctor had wanted me to have the drink, they would have given me the drink to take home like they have done in the past, instead of having me make the long trip back up there to get it.
Again, thank you guys, for caring and I'll do whatever I have to do but, of course, I don't want the drink. Can't they improve on the flavor or something? I'll probably have the blood test done next week and I'll post when I get the results.
Have a great week-end.

I know what your talking about with the cat scan. they want to give you the one with the contrast. the pictures show up better and they can get a better look at what is going on. I have had that procedure done before and there is no risk involved, my advise is stop being a baby and drink the stuff, it is not that bad, plus your health comes first. I was just kidding about being a baby. Let me know what you decide, your a big girl you can do it.

Well, I'll start. I've lost a lot of weight recently. Does anyone have any ideas? I went to my Oncologist yesterday and she wants me to have some tests. The doctors office called me today and left a message saying that I needed to pick up this terrible stuff to drink before a cat scan. I'm not doing it. The doctor never said anything about it yesterday. Has anyone had to drink that stuff? The endoscopy (tube down the throat) would be better. Well...maybe not
